Pointer AI now supports Google Docs in 50+ languages
I apologize to my non-English-speaking users - until now, Pointer AI didn't work for those with Google Accounts set to languages other than English.
My commitment to privacy means I don't store or log requests or data from your documents, making it hard to identify issues. However, I did notice that more than half of users didn't use the 5 free generations, which seemed unusual.
The problem was uncovered when a user reached out on January 9th, revealing that Pointer AI wasn't functioning with Google Docs in other languages. This issue arose because I used workarounds to activate the "Suggestion" mode in Google Docs - since it's not natively available in the API - relying on English labels on buttons.
I'm thrilled to announce that Pointer AI is now updated to work seamlessly regardless of your Google language setting. I've also added UI localization, ensuring Pointer AI integrates beautifully in over 50 languages.
